ISHIZUKA GLASS is a manufacturing company in Japan with a history of over 200 years. We produce a wide range of glass products, from tableware to beverage bottles. Our own factories are equipped with machinery and skilled craftsmen capable of handling diverse manufacturing processes, ensuring strict quality control and supplying many of the glass products distributed in Japan.
Our pursuit of glass manufacturing began with an order for vidro sculptures received from a feudal lord. Japan’s first melting techniques opened the road to mass production. Ishizuka Glass originated in 1819 with the glass sculptures Iwasaburo Ishizuka made in the current Dota area of Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. Iwasaburo started with vidro sculptures ordered by the lord of the Owari Domain. Ishizuka Glass grew during the Meiji and Taisho eras, and has continued to wholeheartedly pursue glass manufacturing. We were the first in Japan to mass-produce highly transparent glass, which allowed us to make glassware a familiar part of daily lives.
Our Quality Assurance
We have established an integrated production system that handles everything from design, molding, and processing to packaging and delivery. Meetings between process managers are held instantly, allowing us to immediately identify and address any issues. Additionally, we have set strict in-house quality standards and consistently aim to improve quality through thorough quality control.
ADERIA
ADERIA, our brand, was born when Ishizuka Glass fully entered the tableware industry. Developing products with familiar richness to become popular tableware for ordinary families. ADERIA, named after the Adriatic Sea area that was famous for glass manufacturing techniques developed during the Medieval European era, has continued to develop glass tableware according to increasing demand. Popular products that our brand has created for more than 50 years are found in every home. Items include nostalgic glasses, glasses with cut designs, and fruit wine bottles for making plum wine. Each item is unique to ADERIA, which aimed to develop products that matched the times. We hope to continue providing products that are handy and have a familiar richness.
