Synopsis
Take an express train from a large station, switch to a rapid train at the foot of the mountain, and then transfer again to a local train... The phrase "Departure, go!" marks the beginning of the journey. The short trip to the small station where Grandpa and friends are waiting is anything but boring. The book vividly captures the passengers and conductors at the stations and platforms, the lives of people living in the towns through which the train passes, and the exhilarating feeling of the train rushing through the mountains. This is an uplifting picture book about transportation that you'll want to read before setting out on a train adventure.
